Stump Grinding & Removal
Once a tree has been removed, you still have to deal with the stump. Stumps are unsightly hunks of wood that decreases the appearance of your property and become barriers to building on your property. While you could leave the stump in place, most commercial business owners like to remove it as it gives them more options, such as landscaping the area or planting grass so it blends into the lawn. Stump grinding is an effective means of eliminating a stump to open new space for landscaping, replanting, and building. No matter the size, stump grinding is the fastest, most efficient way to remove any stump from your yard. Grass Busters Lawn Care provides stump grinding and removal service that removes stumps from unwanted areas of your commercial property. When we grind and remove stumps, we remove the feeder roots that are 12 to 15 inches below the soil level so that you may replant flowers or fill in the area for a level commercial property.
What is stump grinding?
Stump grinding is the process of removing a stump that is currently lodged in the ground through the use of a machine. This machine has a large heavy duty wheel-blade that spins at high-speeds that is specially designed with teeth to grind the stump and roots into small wood chips. The stump grinder works like a wood chipper at ground level. The bigger the stump the longer it takes to grind down, though in the end you are left with a flat piece of ground that will blend nicely into the surround area.
Reasons to Remove a Stump
Sometimes simply removing the tree isn’t enough. After going through the trouble to have a tree removed, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to leave the stump sitting there being an eyesore, taking up valuable space, and/or becoming a hazard. Leaving a tree stump be in the ground can actually pose problems for people and become a commercial business owner’s nightmare. A few of the top reasons to remove stumps from your yard include:
They are Eyesores
No one likes gazing out into the commercial property and seeing an old stump that is in the giant eyesore. After a while, weeds and other plants will begin to start growing around the stump making it look worse. Grass Busters Lawn Care’s commercial tree stump grinding and removal can help take that eyesore out of your yard.
They Take Up Valuable Space
Most people want the widest, clearest yards possible, and tree stumps really get in the way. Removing a tree stump allows you to be able to build onto your commercial building, add a landscaping to your commercial property, or even just take some clutter out of your yard.
They are Hazardous
Some stumps are obvious, but others can become camouflaged by grass, weeds and other plants and become tripping hazards for you, your employees, and your customers. Nothing is worse than stubbing your toe or falling over an old tree stump. Old tree stumps can also become a breeding grounds for fungus, mold, pests, or worst of all, termites.
